Traveler's Meet Traveler's Meet is a fairly large town where all the roads on the mainland cross. It's one of the largest trading posts in the land, and you can find goods from all over for sale here. There are several inns, large stables, and a few different taverns. Some people live here permenantly, but they're mostly just the innkeepers, and a few shopkeepers and restaurant owners.
On the outskirts of the city, there are several large fields. Many traders camp there, instead of staying in one of the inns. When a big group of traveling entertainers (sometimes gypsies or circuses) come through, they will stay here, and then have a large festival one night during their stay. Milil Milil is a small village on the western edge of the mainland, not quite on the coast, but between the ocean and Traveler's Meet. The people here are mostly artists, such as clothing-makers and blacksmiths. It's very quiet and peaceful, and the occasional trader or traveler will drop in to stay a night at the single inn on their way to and from Trader's Island. Mielikki Eldath The Mielikki Eldath is the largest forest area on the mainland. It's made up of mostly old-growth cedar, redwood, and spruce trees. Valkur A thriving coast city, Valkur is out on the tip of the peninsula, and is the biggest seaside city in Isthilaen. A main docking point for large trade ships, they get a lot of goods and merchandise coming and going, as well as a large fish market dominating one corner of the city. Merrshaul On the opposite side of the gulf from Valkur, at the edge of the mainland, Merrshaul is a smaller fishing village. Occasionally traders will ferry across on boats too and from Valkur, and they get a bit of trade from the other sailors passing through. Waukeen A ways north of Valkur, Waukeen is just a stopping place on the way too and from the larger cities. They have a small inn, and a bit of business from passing traders, but mostly the people here just keep to themselves, fishing or farming in the warm climates. Deniar Deniar, thought positioned on the edge of the sea, on a small cliff jutting out from the mainland, it is mostly a place of learning and literature. Poets, artists, and writers are mostly what you'll find here, along with a handful of fishermen and farmers and their families. This quiet village has one of the largest collections of books and scrolls in the land- there's probably information on just about any subject you could ever want to learn about. Eastern Lands
Meriad Meriad is the largest city in the kingdom, and here is where the royal family lives, and many other high-ranking people. Great, ancient buildings made of stone hold a good bit of Isthilaen's history, from tales of great battles to famous artifacts. The whole city is almost like one great museum. Lliira Dakul A long stretch of plains over the eastern territories of Isthilaen, the Lliira Dakul's name quite literally means 'freedom', and 'adventure'. The grasslands are the home to the Horselord Tribes, and a handful of nomads and adventurers who just want to get away from the rest of the world, go out on their own, get some fresh air. Azuth A small village on the eastern coast, with the ocean on one side, and the mountains behind, Azuth is a quiet little town, with barely any interaction with the rest of Isthilaen. Sometimes elves from the mountains will come join the humans who live there, or some other non-human creatures. This village lives on the very edge of human civilization- in more than one sense. Tymor One of the largest cities in Isthilaen, Tymor can basically be described as... rich. Many large, ancient families reside here, some even of royal descent. The Wastes In the northern parts of the lands, above most civilization, but not quite to the forbidden lands of Kelemvor, lies the Wastes. Barren lands with no vegetation, water, or fertile soil. Almost a welcoming mat, or else a borderline, between Kelemvor, and the rest of Isthilaen. Hardly anyone lives here, save for maybe a few stray nomads, or immortals. Kelemvor Kelemvor is named quite appropriately- it means 'death', or 'dead'. Indeed, these lands are regarded as the Deathlands. Or, some think of them as the Dragonlands, because there are rumors that the last of the ancient beasts have gone into hiding among the rocky mountains. There are many active volcanos, and the skies are always filled with smoke and ash- the clouds and sun even take on a sickly redish tint. The Southern Desert The southern parts of Isthilaen are mostly made up of a large, seemingly endless desert. There might be a small oasis with a spring and a few trees here and there, but there's hardly any civilization besides the one city at the very southern edge. Psilo Basically the only human settlement in the desert, Psilo is positioned in pretty much the only place inhabitable in the desert wastelands.
