"Well," Cayli said after another pause. "You two sound like you're close, if you'd follow her into a group of sorcerers like that. But it looks like you both view this differently. You believe that you have to watch out for her, naturally, and make sure no harm comes to her. You said Jyrra took your protection the wrong way. Obviously she doesn't want you or your brother hurt on her account. But honestly, it sounds like she has similar beliefs--like she's putting herself out of the way to prevent any harm from coming to you and your brother because of her. That's why she didn't want you to follow her." She sighed, fiddling with her bracelets under her sleeve. "Of course, I don't know this...but based on what you told me, I'm trying to see this situation from her view."

"Yes," Jaclyn said, exasperated now. "But she doesn't get it, that we will look after her no matter what, just because we love her, and that we don't care, and trying to make it so we don't have to is just making us have to even more!"

Cayli was a bit dazed by this arrangement of words. After sorting it out and processing the information, she raised her head. "Well, that's it. You both have different views on the situation." She continued to play with the bracelets, still in thought. "Think about it and try to put yourself in her perspective. Maybe someday she'll try to see this in your's and your brother's view."

Jaclyn sighed softly, her momentary burst on energy dissipating just as quickly as it had come. "I'm not sure if there's time to see in eachother's eyes. We could met in battle in just a few days time..."

Cayli's expression was now grim. "Then the most you can do is help Aaron and her group. Unless you can find a way to contact your..'friends'...then all you can do is hope."

Jaclyn nodded slowly, frowning downward, chewing on her lower lip. Sage pressed against her side, whining softly.

Cayli offered a small smile, then stood up again, her mind buzzing. She glanced at Azera, then made her way out of the caravan.
On the morning of the third day--the day the circus would join Aaron--the performers were flying around camp, trying to gather together last minute belongings. Many of the ones that were staying behind were gathered at the firepits, while others were helping with the packing. Cayli, already packed and ready to go, was helping the healer pack her herbs and poultices. It was already late in the morning...they'd have to leave soon if they had hope of getting to their destination by nightfall.

Azera, having now sort of taken over the unofficial position of leader of this little expedition, stood in the middle of the field, shouting instructions and overseeing the last of the preparations. Jaclyn and Sage were busy off packing their own things- Sage in his human form, a young, tan-skinned man with curly dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. Jamison had joined them as well, and he and his sister set off to the fields as soon as they had everything hey needed from their home.

Cayli, after the healer's things were all packed, headed back to her caravan to make sure she had everything together. Then, she headed back out and caught glimpse of Jaclyn and Jamison. She waved, beckoning them to come over, then pranced back to stand beside Azera. "That's everyone and everything. Time to go?"

Zer gave a curt nod, gaze sweeping around the clearing in one final check. She waved a signal, and the 7 caravans that had decided to take with them started out. Everyone else, nearly one hundred people, including the others who had joined the circus performers, traveled on foot, carrying their belongings in packs or bundles of some sort. Jaclyn, Jamison, and Sage followed Azera to the front of the line, walking alongside the first caravan.
