The three landed nearby one of the main entrances to Traveler's Meet, on spot of land a few yards away from one of the main roads. Nyra grinned, spreading her arms out and letting the sun warm her face. She looked like a child discovering daylight for the first time. Varen stretched, taking it as an opportunity to wake himself up.

Jaclyn took a deep gulp of air, relishing the freshness, the familiarity of it. Nostalgia washed over her as she gazed around at the place which had been her home for so long. Suddenly, she realized how much she had missed the village. She had been so caught up with what was going on with Jyrra and the sorcerers, she hadn't even once stopped to think about what she had left behind.

Nyra lowered her head, though still savored the feeling of the sun's rays. "Let's go," she murmured, still grinning, as she turned for the road, which she followed to one of the main entrances of the village. Varen followed after her, glancing back at Jaclyn.

Jaclyn brought up the rear, gazing about with a small, sad smile playing on her lips.

Nyra led the way into the busy streets of Traveler's Meet, hardly noticing how a few people stopped to look curiously at the trio. One of the missing triplets was back? Then she paused, turning toward Jaclyn. "So, which way?"

"This way." Jaclyn turned toward her own road, which had so recently held the battle fought between vampires. But there was no sign of it now, and she lead the way down toward the shop with new-found confidence.

Nyra let her take the lead, falling into step a few paces beside her, next to Varen. She looked around eagerly at the various attractions, her eyes wide with excitement.

Jaclyn glanced around, and gave a small sigh as they passed the bakery. Her stomach rumbled in protest, as they hadn't stopped to eat on their way out.

Nyra and Varen continued to follow...and only Varen seemed to be suffering from the same hunger as Jaclyn. Nyra barely paid the bakery any attention. Varen tapped her on the shoulder. "Uh, Nyra?" "Yeah?" "Food sounds good right about now." Nyra frowned. "What? You didn't get anything to eat before?" Varen sighed. "Nyra, if you haven't noticed, some of us value the idea of sleep. Maybe it's strange to you, but not many get up on their own free will and eat breakfast a couple hours after midnight." The sorceress glanced toward the bakery. "Come on, then." She took a sudden turn for the building, looking back to make sure Varen and Jaclyn were following.

Jaclyn followed willingly, seeming fully awake for the first time this morning, perking up at the thought of food. As they entered, the lady behind the counter looked up, and her eyes widened as she spotted Jaclyn and her new friends. Jaclyn put on her best smile and called a good morning to her old neighbor. "What've you got today?" she asked, coming up to the counter.

Nyra, though she wasn't hungry, looked at the food sitting on shelves in the counter, though was shielded by a glass window. She stared at the array of the stock. Muffins, donuts, cookies, small cakes... Varen stood beside Jaclyn, giving the lady behind the counter a friendly smile in greeting.

The woman just stared at the strangers with Jaclyn for a moment, looking dumbfounded. Then she shook herself, blinking rapidly, and looked back to the Charter Mage. She scrambled for words, and managed to stutter, "Fried pies, just out of the oven, if you'd like 'em. Nice and warm, too."

Varen glanced at Nyra, who was still gaping at the food on display, and then at Jaclyn. He fought back a laugh at Nyra's amazed expression, and reached into his pocket for three gold coins. "We'll take them," he answered.

"How many?" she asked, glancing from Jaclyn to Varen and back again. "We'll take six," Jaclyn replied, digging out an additional three coins. The woman nodded, mumbling to herself, and went to fetch the pastries. She came back with a small, grease-stained package wrapped in brown paper, and handed it over to Jaclyn.

Nyra's eyes never left the bag until it was in Jaclyn's possession. She suddenly felt hungry again, and was anxious to try the pies. Varen, with a 'thank you' to the woman, handed her the coins, and walked back towards the door. Nyra scrambled after him. Once they were outside, they both sat down on a bench outside the door, waiting for Jaclyn.
