Ooc; Umm... Anyone with the Charter Mark can train to become a Charter Mage, and I thought all the triplets had been Marked when they were born...? Or am I just making stuff up? xD

Jyrra's expression barely changed, but inside she felt sick. Charter Magic? she thought, thinking of the faint mark on her forehead. It was never something she had paid attention to, leaving that talent in the family to Jacyln. How could I of all people master something like that? She knew that she was pitying herself, but still the guilt felt like a weight on her shoulders. "Fine," she finally murmured, her voice shaky and scared.

"Jyrra, it's all I have to offer. I can't train you in any other magic, and the only other defense would me hand combat, with some sort of weapon, and that would be even more difficult." Jaclyn's voice was pleading and desperate as she glanced up at her sister, adding "In fact, we should really do both." She sighed, shaking her head. "Will you at least try?"

Jyrra nodded, feeling a bit dazed. She never knew how much could change over the course of a couple days. She still was sore and hadn't completely recovered from the injuries she had received from the night before, but she knew that beginning sooner rather than later would benefit her better in the end. "When do we start?"

Jaclyn smiled slightly, leaning back in her chair. "In the morning. We should both rest some more tonight, before we try anything. At dawn?"

Jyrra nodded in a silent agreement, finally lifting her head off of her hands and drumming her fingers lightly on the table. She didn't feel tired at that moment, but knew that if she didn't get more sleep, getting out of bed at dawn would be a near-impossible task. She pushed back her chair from the table, swaying on her feet for a moment before (a bit clumsily) bringing her plate over to the sink. She quickly washed it, feeling stronger as she continued to force herself to walk. Her steps became more steady as they adjusted, though still hurt. "I'll see you both tomorrow then," she said softly before disappearing down the hallway and into her room.

Jamison gazed after Jyrra as she left, and Jaclyn just stared down at the table again, deep in thought. Slowly the young man rose, and collected their empty plates, before heading off to bed again as well. Jaclyn stayed at the table, alone, for a long while before returning to her room, afraid to let her mind be invaded by the horrible nightmares of nothingness again.
