Jyrra grinned for the first time since her trip to the woods. This was a small step toward her goal. She was determined to make up for her lack of sight, and this strengthened her will. "Well, you're a good teacher."

Jaclyn felt her smile widen, and she blushed slightly. "Alright, so... Shall we try something harder now? Or... Well, maybe I should teach you some more of the Marks." She paused, brow crinkling as she thought. "Perhaps.... We should get a book of the Marks for you to study? One that you could feel, so you memorize the shape. Yes, that seems like a good idea. We can do that later today. Anyway, back to practicing. Try that again, but with something other than your hand. Try transferring the magic to something you touch, but at the same time keeping it strong, even though you aren't in direct contact with it anymore...?"

Once again, Jyrra reached back inside herself to find the spring of magic. It was a little easier to do this time, since she had found it only a few minutes before. At the same time, she used the magic that helped her identify how close things were to her, and reached out to touch one of Jamison's work tables. Slowly, she transferred the magic through her fingertips and to the table. The girl then slowly backed her arm away, her hand shaking slightly as she held on to the connection between the light and her mind. This was harder for her to do. After a couple moments, she found that concentrating on it was becoming challenging...she forgotten exactly where she'd put it. She couldn't see to make sure she knew where the light was hovering. It flickered out after she held it there for about a minute.

Jaclyn watched carefully as the Marks spread over the table, nodding. "That was good. I know it's hard to keep the connection for a long time. The trick is putting the right amount of magic, so that the Marks will stay attached to the object, or whatever you want them to do, longer. More powerful mages can cast light spells that last centuries, and hardly fade at all for that long. Like I said, all it takes in practice, concentration, and a strong will." She looked over her sister, and added, "And I think that's enough for now. It takes a lot of energy out of you, using large amounts of magic at one time. Especially when you're not used to it. But don't worry, you'll learn how to save your energy, and then it'll come easy."

Jyrra let out a long breath as she let go of the magic source completely, relaxing her mind.
Meanwhile, a figure watched silently from the shadows, making sure all traces of his presence were hidden. He smirked from the shadows the hood of his cloak produced, then turned and away from the triplet's shop, away from the busy streets, and out of Traveler's Meet.
