Nyra nodded. "Yeah..." the sorceress murmured, looking at the ground. "I have to talk to Aaron now...but first..." She frowned and looked back at Jaclyn. "I just want to know if you can trust me enough to be your friend again. I'm sorry we left like that, but it was for your own good."

Jaclyn gave a weak smile. "It's fine. I forgive you."

"Thanks," Nyra murmured, relieved. "Can you take me to see Aaron now? I have to talk to her." The sorceress, flinching, rose to her feet. She swayed unsteadily, and fought back another groan as her aching body protested. She cursed under her breath. "It's going to take me a little while to fully recover..." she muttered, half to herself.
Ravyre turned to look at Nyra, trying to hold her breath to keep from smelling the open cuts. Joren was doing the same, though had to turn and walk to the lake to splash some water on his face.

Jaclyn nodded, and glanced up for Aaron. The Guardian was already making her way toward them, having heard her name in their thoughts. She motioned for Nyra to sit back down, murmuring, "Carefully, dear. It's alright. Just rest."
Alice seemed to have less trouble handling the scent of blood, having spent more time among humans than most vampires, and being a 'vegetarian' and all that. She mainly just looked worried for the sorceress, and for her vampiric friends as well. She cast a glance toward Nyra, and then followed after Joren. "You okay?" she murmured, so low that only he could hear.

Nyra sighed and slowly sat back down, looking a bit frusterated. She looked back up at Aaron, a wave of unease suddenly swamping her. What was she going to say to the leader of a group that would have been considered her rival?
Joren gritted his teeth. Nothing can happen...I have to keep mysef under contr-- His thoughts were interuppted by Alice, an he felt relieved that he had someone to talk to to distract himself. "What? Yeah...I think so. I just have to resist it..." He was clearly still trying not to breathe.

She rested a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Want to go hunt, or something? Get away for just a little bit?"
Aaron grimaced slightly, and murmured, "Okay, so, I might as well be straightforward. I can hear your thoughts. So, anything you don't want me to know... You'd better not think about it, just as if you didn't want to say it out loud."

"Please," Joren agreed, and gestured for her to follow as he headed off around the lake.
Nyra shook her head. "No, no..." she replied, letting her's and Jaclyn's conversation run through her mind, to fill Aaron in so she didn't have to repeat herself out loud...she was careful not to miss a single detail. "I want to help."

Aaron closed her eyes, concentrating hard on the sorceress's thoughts. "I see..." she murmured softly, brow creasing ever so slightly. "Well, it works fine, that way, if you don't feel like talking." She opened her eyes, giving a small smile.
Alice darted after him, catching up within seconds, and keeping an even pace just a step behind him as they headed off into the trees.

Nyra nodded. "I want to help in any way I can. I've lived with the sorcerers for, well, a long time. I know information about Xoran, his apprentice, his followers...their location, some of their fighting styles...Anything. I can't get in worse trouble than I'm already facing, so I might as well take advantage of it. That's why I came here...and that's why I'm hoping you'll let me stay to help."
As soon as they were far enough away, Joren allowed himself to breath, the scents of the forest overlapping the memory of the scent of blood.

Aaron nodded. "Any help is welcome, as long as we can trust you."
Alice slowed beside Joren, golden eyes trained on his face. She still looked a little worried.

Nyra smiled slightly. "Thank you," she said, reaching over to the canteen and taking another drink of water. "You have full access to my mind. What would you like to know?" To her own suprise, she yawned. She realized how tired she was from the previous three days...from using so much magic in the past hour.
Joren looked down at her, and gave a small, reassuring smile. "It'll be fine." Reading the worry on her face, he frowned, and leaned in to give her a small kiss. When he pulled back, he didn't break his gaze from her's. "I'm not going to let blood drive me out of control."

Alice's eyes narrowed slightly. "What exactly do you define as 'out of control'...?" She gave him a leering, mischievous smile.
Aaron watched her for a moment, and then shook her head slightly. "You need to rest," she decided. "We'll exchange information once you've recovered some more. Jaclyn, can you take her to a caravan and give her a bed?" The Guardian glanced over her shoulder at Jaclyn, who nodded and quickly stood up, helping Nyra off the ground.

Cayli glanced over at them from where she stood, and walked over to help. She took Nyra's bag and hung it over her shoulder, then, like before, supported Nyra's other side.
Joren laughed slightly. "Oh, you know. I've killed a few people in my day," he said, waving a had in dismissal, knowing that that probably wasn't the answer she'd been looking for.

Alice rolled her eyes. "That's not exactly... what I meant..." She continued to study him, eyes narrowing slightly. The smile didn't leave her face.
Jaclyn guided them toward the healer's caravan, knowing there was always an extra bed or two there for recovering patients. She figured Nyra counted as one of these.

Cayli led the way inside, and helped Nyra over to one of the beds. The sorceress sat down on it, and the acrobat dropped her bag at the foot of the bed. "If you need anything, you can ask the healer."
Joren smirked. "I know that," he said. He hesitated, then leaned in to kiss her again.
