Ryo unlocked the door to room one-hundred and thirty seven, and flicked on the light to see a bare, small lounge space. A few items of furniture had been supplied, such as a couch and bookshelf, and a small kitchen area was included within the space. That's conveniant... She walked through the lounge area to the door that she assumed would lead to the bedroom, and opened it to find exactly what she'd been looking for. Two same-sized beds had been set next to the walls on either side of the room, complete with two small dressors, two endtables, and a bookshelf. Ryo supposed that if they wanted anything else, they'd have to supply it themselves. A door on the right wall led to a small bathroom. The witch claimed the bed to the left, dumping her bags on the ground to the side of it. She began to pull out various things from her shoulder bag, laying them out on the bed. It was obvious that a spell of some sort had been used on the bag to allow so much stuff to be placed within, otherwise it would have been, without question, too small to hold it all. That, and Ryo never would have been able to carry the weight without magic. On the bed, she laid out sheets and blankets and a pillow for the bed, several leather-bound books, a cauldron, jars of various substances and ingrediants, a few notebooks, an mp3 player and radio dock (which could also serve as an alarm clock) for her own amusement... When she'd finally finished extracting everything from the bag, her bed held a pile of stuff. The cauldron, however, being the biggest object, had been shoved under her bed. And though she hated the idea of work, she began to put everything where she thought it should go on her half of the room.
Leon, meanwhile, was still following the others until he came across his room. Drawing in a small breath, the unlocked the door and peered in. "Hello? Anyone there?"
Another figure was moving down the long hallway, heading toward his own dorm. When he entered room two-hundred and five, he crossed the lounge room and opened the bedroom door, realizing that his dorm was no longer only 'his' dorm. His gaze settled on the gryphon, betraying his slight shock at this new appearance. He leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms. "Hi...who are you?"
The elf, who'd been rather consumed by the contents of the book, looked up quickly as the door opened. She remained seated on the couch, but offered the guests a smile as they entered through the door. "Hey," she said, her voice smooth, but quiet. "Being that you had a key to get in, one of you must be a new room-mate, right?"

Jake turned the handle, throwing the door open and holding arms wide, grinning. "'Ome sweet 'ome!" He rushed on in, dropping his bag at the end of the bed he apparently decided was his, jumping and landing face down on the mattress. "Smells like ootmeal," He mumbled. "Not the good koind, either."
The goblin from earlier looked up from the couch, frowning a little at Leon. The hat and fabric that had been over his head and shoulders lay in a neat pile beside him, though his mask remained on. His hair was even poofier (maybe knotted, was a better word) sans hat and cloth. "I guess you're my new roommate, hm?" He grumbled.
The gryphon smiled meekly, clasping his hands in front of him. "Oh, ah, hi..! I'm.. well, I'm your new roomie, actually," He laughed pathetically, scratching the back of his head. "Caden Seeker. It's nice to meet you... ehm..." He waited for him to give his name.

Viem couldn't help but give in to another small smirk. "Maybe you should get some sort of fabric freshener or something." He came to stand by the bed left over, which he assumed would be his, and his nose wrinkled. The whole dorm didn't smell the best, he had to admit, but they would make do. He let down his own bag at the foot of his bed, and sat down on the bare mattress, looking around with a blank expression.
"That would be me." Siah meekly raised one hand, inching in around the half-open door. Ithe shoved it open behind her, gazing around with wide eyes and an equally wide grin. "Wow, nice place ya got, Siah! Ooh, and you have an extra window, too! No fair, you being on the end and all." She gave a small sigh.

The elf smirked and rose from the couch, the book still in hand. While the two took a quick look around, she moved soundlessly to place the book back in its place on the bookshelf in the room, which stood opposite the couch next to a rather detailed painting of distant mountains. "So you two must be part of that group that arrived here not long ago, hm?"
Leon's face remained unreadable as he shrugged. "I guess so," he answered. While he glanced around, he decided to introduce himself. "Anyway, I'm Leon Demori. You are...?"
The figure remained where he was--arms crossed, leaning against the door frame. "Ah," he said. "I'm Josh...Josh Sivoroh." Unlike the gryphon, Josh looked almost human, with tanned olive-colored skin and black hair that fell to his chin, mostly covered by a brown stocking hat. His eyes were what set him apart from regular people, however, as they were an odd reddish-brown color. "Nice...to meet you, too. I hear you're not the only newcomer here, though? There's more of you?" He looked a bit skeptical. It wasn't often that so many new students would arrive in one night, much less at the same time.
Meanwhile, Ryo was still busy in dorm one-hundred and thirty seven, moving around her half of the bedroom, arms full of random possessions. Half of the bookshelf was now crammed with old-looking books, with the occasional ingrediant jar crammed in between. She'd shoved her remaining books under the bed with the cauldron, which was just the right size to fit between the bed and the floor. It was a smaller-sized cauldron...not quite as big as others, but it was large enough for her standards. (Even though Ryo looked like a modernized teenager, she still tended to stick with traditional methods when it came to magic.) On the small endtable next to her bed, she'd placed a stack of worn notebooks, and on the remaining space next to those stood the radio clock, connected to the mp3 player. Music was already playing in the background, betraying the witch's taste in rock, and 'punk' rock music. Humming along with the current tune, Ryo gathered a smaller bag of hers that contained regular bathroom accessories, and crossed to the other door on the opposite side of the room, which she assumed led to the bathroom. She was right, as the other side of the door revealed a short counter with two seperate sinks, a toilet, and a shower. Beneath the sinks were a couple decent-sized drawers, where residents could store some belongings. Without bothering to remove anything from it, she merely placed the bag into one of the compartments.

"We shoul' air out the room, roight well," He sat up, looking determined and cracking his knuckles. "Open the window, would'ja, mate?" He motioned to the window nearest them, setting his hat on top of his bag and going to open the doors to the rest of the rooms.
"Kar Ironbane," He replied huskily, looking back to the paper he had been writing. A real quill and ink well, in fact, was set on the coffee table in front of him, and the tips of his greenish fingers were stained black by the ink. "Keep out of my way as much as you possibly can," He added, eyes narrowing to slits behind the ivory bone mask.
Caden nodded. "Yeah. There were maybe... well, I'm not really sure. Maybe six or seven of us? I got a letter in the mail offering an education here, so I was eager to come- hiding these things," His spread his wings a bit. "Gets really difficult after a while," He laughed. His smile faded, though, when he caught sight of Josh's expression. "You're troubled?"

Leon frowned slight, but shrugged. "Okay, then..." He shifted further into the room, crossing the lounge area to the door that appeared to lead to the bedroom. "I'll just go unpack, I suppose.." Without a word, the vampire disappeared into the bedroom. He glanced around, notcing how dimly lit it was. There were black-out blinds covering the window, which would be perfect for him when it became lighter out. Leon had enrolled in night classes, so sleeping in darkness during the day would be ideal. He set his bags on the empty bed, and began removing his belongings from them.
Josh was quiet for a moment, listening. Then, when Caden's laugh faltered, he seemed to snap back to attention. "What? Oh, uh, no. I just think it's a little odd that so many of you arrived at one time...it doesn't happen very often."

Viem nodded, silently rising from the bed and doing as Jake asked. He breathed in a deep breath of the fresh night air flowing through the window, grateful for the improvement of the air quality in the stuffy room.
Ithe nodded, smiling brightly at the other elf. The drow danced across the room to meet her, holding out a slightly darker blue hand, compared to that of the pink-haired elf. "I'm Ithe. Ithe Izzndar. I'll be living next door, with another one of the new students."

When Jake had decided everything was opened sufficiently, he pranced to the window, sticking his arms out before waving them back in, bringing a gust of cool air with them, circulating the air through the room and out. "Now it shoul' be better, eh?"
Kar didn't reply, only continued to scribble away on the parchment.
Caden shrugged a little. "I'm sure it doesn't, but um... maybe the school had some free spaces to fill?" He offered weakly.

The elf nodded with another grin. "I'm Aerina Lyvc...but you can also just call me Aeri. Nice to meet you." She accepted the hand and offered a small shake.
Josh didn't reply at first, still appearing a little doubtful, but he shrugged it off. "Yeah...Well, I guess it doesn't matter now, anyway."
Ryo, by this point, had made her way back into the bedroom, and was in the process of dressing her bed with the sheets and blankets she'd brought with her. When she'd finished, she drew out her bag again, setting it on top of the bed and searching through it until she'd found the things she'd been looking for. First, she drew out a bottle of pills, which she set on top of the stack of notebooks.. Teenaged magic-users were sometimes known to have difficulty controlling their developing magic, and Ryo wasn't an exception. The pills had been prescribed to make sure that unintentional accidents didn't occur, such as making a sudden movement and breaking a window. Ryo hated them, and sometimes forgot to take them. And it became obvious when she didn't. Drawing her attention from the bottle, she pulled out the last object--a long, thin, white wand. It was delicately crafted--smooth to the touch, with carefully carved designs near the base. Most magic-users didn't really need an object to help direct their magic, but Ryo found that it became helpful at times when she wanted to do something a little more powerful than usual.

Ithe squeezed her hand for a brief moment, her slender fingers curling into a vice-like grip, and then she released Aeri, still grinning as she let her hand fall. She glanced over her shoulder, motioning for Siah to come forward. "And this is your new roomie, Siah Tantomile." The werecat shuffled forward reluctantly, giving a small, forced smile.
"Yep." Viem gave a single bob of his head, and ambled back over to his bed. He sat down again, and then flopped backward, staring up at the cieling.

Caden wasn't entirely sure why it would matter at all, but let the matter be, beginning to unpack. From his bag came a pile of plain t-shirts and a few sweaters and tank tops (all of them having zippers added in the backs for his wings), which he put in the dresser by his bed, plus pants and undergarments and the like. He even arranged his socks neatly in the drawer, whistling a melodious tune as he worked. It seemed he only had one pair of shoes, an oversized pair of galoshes, which he stored under the bed along with a small chest (containing only he-knew-what). Following those, came some books, school supplies, and lastly, he brought his toothbrush and the like to the bathroom. He was considering many things as he shuffled about, many worrisome things, though his tune and expression gave nothing away. Was his roommate always this... sour? What would this year be like? Will he get good grades? How is mother faring without him?
Jake lighted on the mattress beside Viem, standing above him and watching his face. "Well now you're a might boring, aren't'cha? Juss' gonna lie 'ere and rest?" He made a face. "Boooriiin'! Me, I'm off t' explore!" He struck another pose, triumphant this time, before leaping across the room, landing in the open doorway and tipping his cap. "Evenin' t' you, then, guv'nah. Be 'ome later, awwroight?"

"I... have a lot to think about," the elf mumbled in reply, half-raising his head to watch the spritely boy as he leapt across the room. ".... Just don't get into trouble, alright? And don't forget about meeting the girls for supper."

Aeri offered a kind smile to her new room-mate. "Hi, Siah," the elf greeted cheerfully, before motioning to a door set on the wall to her left. "The bedroom's over there, so you can go unpack if you'd like."
Josh, when Caden had turned back to his task, retreated from the room and back to the lounge area, where he walked over to the small fridge and pulled out a soda. He took a deep gulp from the can as he plopped down on the couch, eyes narrowed as he continued to think.

Jake blinked, then, "Ohhh! Yeah, thass roight, I already forgot 'bout supper. Awwroight, later then!" He gave a silly little salute before bounding out of the room and jumping down the flight of steps- this boy obviously had too much energy for his own good.
Caden sighed gently when he was finished, then pulled the chest back out from under the bed, opening it. From inside he grabbed an old copy of Labyrinth, settling down on his bed to begin reading.

The werecat nodded, and silently crossed to the door Aeri had indicated, disappearing into the adjacent room. Ithe watched her go, and then looked back to the other elf. "Well, I'd better go get unpacked myself. I guess I'll see you around..." She gave a bright smile, and turned to leave. "Oh!" She whipped back around, eyes wide. "I almost forgot! I think we're meeting up with some of the other new students later- my roommate, and my brother... Would you care to join us?"
Viem rolled his eyes, letting his head drop back onto the mattress. After a moment he sighed, and rolled off the bed, supposing he'd better get unpacked and have everything situated before it was time for supper. He set to work, filling up his half of the bookshelf with a wide variety of old books and parchments. He stored his clothing in the dresser- nothing too exotic, mostly things that would blend in well in human society. However, there were a few articles that were more traditional elven wear, such as tunics with strange markings and arm guards plated with some sort of hard, metallic material. These he tucked safely into the back of one of the drawers, hidden behind the piles of less conspicuous clothing. He stowed several pairs of shoes beneath his bed, again following the trend of common human styles in his taste in footwear, with the exception of a pair of worn deerskin boots. His bag was placed on one side of his dresser, and a small pile of notebooks and parchments on the nightstand, along with a feather quill and bottle of ink a few shades darker than his skin. When he was finished arranging everything, he went to work putting sheets and blankets on the bed, and when he was done with that, he added a feather-filled pillow to finish the ensemble, and flopped back down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling once again.
