Jane murmured the names of a few of her more trusted followers as well, Rayne and Rosetta among them, and waited until they stood before her, listening carefully with their overly-sharp ears as she gave them instructions in a quick, low voice, to quiet and swift for humans to pick up.
Jarent stood nearby, hovering close to the group, but not exactly close enough to be considered a part of it. He was highly respected as a tracker, but still not one of the most elite rankings in the army.

Rayne left her originally station to stand with the others before Jane, curious. She listened quietly as she picked up Jane's words, her eyes flicking toward the ground.

Jane finished giving instructions, and dismissed them, turning away. Jarent darted to Rayne's side as the others dispersed. Rosetta gave them a curious glance, but said nothing, heading off to organize the group she would lead.

Rayne gave him a small smile, hardly noticing Rosetta as she turned to face the other vampire. "For her plans to work, Jane needed us to organize groups to lead. Would you...care to join mine?"

Jarent gave a small smile, and dipped his head. "It would be an honor."
Masquerade had been waiting off to one side, surveying the scene with narrowed eyes. Now the faint trace of a scowl became more pronounced on her lips as she caught sight of Rosetta lurking toward her.

Rayne nodded, satisfied. "Alright..." she murmured, before turning back to the mass of sorcerers and vampires. She gave each vampire she saw a quick glance, trying to determine who else to add to her group. However, when her gaze passed to Masquerade, she felt herself tense, a low growl rumbling at the back of her throat as she recognized the one who'd forced information out of her only months ago. She hadn't noticed the mage's presence until that point, due to the fact that she'd only recently returned from her failed attempt to find Alice and Joren.

Tobias stood beside his master, arms folded across his chest with his sword strapped across his back. He was back in serious mercenary mode, scanning the area through narrowed eyes. He noticed Rosetta, though, but didn't acknowledge her for the time being.

Rosetta sauntered up with a vague smile on her face, eyes glinting dangerously. "I've been instructed to choose some people for my group. Care to join mine?" Masquerade's eyes narrowed. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to start ripping off the limbs of a higher ranking vampire, she was guessing. Her fingers clenched against the urge. "But of course, we would be honored," she replied icily. The vampire smiled toothily. "Wonderful," she purred. "We'll be meeting right over there to get organized." She pointed a slender, bone-colored finger, and continued, "Jane's positioned my group in Tymor. We'll be coming in after the initial attack, to take control once their resistance is overthrown." "Sounds like a plan," the necromancer replied, accompanied by a grim smile. Rosetta nodded to each of them, and then turned and disappeared into the crowd of gathered troupes.

Time passed as the groups were gathered together. Xoran remained stationed on top of the platform, his hands clasped firmly behind his back, and his piercing blue eyes scanning the progress. Ricoda, when she'd finished helping to sort the sorcerers in their own groups, stood next to him, her arms crossed--a smug expression on her face.
Jyrra and Varen were seperated into different groups of sorcerers, and now stood on opposite sides of the crowd. Nyra was isolated into a group of the sorcerers that had been assigned to keep an eye on her.
Rayne had gathered together her own group at this point, which consisted of Jarent and about twenty-three others--each with their own individual talents. When she'd finished, she walked to the base of the platform of rock, where a small creature waited...right where she'd left it. Gently, she picked the fox-like creature up and let it climb onto her shoulder, a slight frown crossing her face. The hatched creature hadn't grown much at all since Rayne had been assigned as its caretaker...perhaps it was because it'd been parted from its true Hatcher for so long.

Jane perched next to Xoran, surveying the preparation of her troupes. She had gathered a vast number of vampires- probably the largest gathered coven in history. Her keen eyes flitted across the pale forms as they organized into groups, twenty-five each, lead by one of her most trusted followers. The battle plan was simple, and very well-refined. It should go with ease- there would be no time for anyone to escape, or even react, and there would be no margin for error. She rose to a standing position in one swift, fluid movement, and scores of eyes turned to her. She raised one slender hand, and called out in a sharp, clear soprano voice, "Our time has come, my beloved followers! Tonight, we will fulfill our potential as higher beings, and take control of the world that has for so long been ruled by the dirty, foul vermin we hunt. Tonight is ours! March on, to our bloody victory!" With that, the troupes surged forward, a sturdy mass of battle-ready, blood-thirsty, dark-hearted warriors.
