Jane let out a frustrated snarl, pacing back and forth across the stone floor. That annoying little 'vegetarian', she was such a bother! Stealing the eggs Jane had worked so hard to get, and even forcing one of Jane's own followers to betray her! Well, no matter, she would have them both soon, and then they'd be sorry for all the trouble they'd caused Jane and her warriors. The small vampire whirled around and stalked toward the outside tunnel. "Rayne!" she called in her shrill, venomous voice.

Rayne, who had been sitting on a random boulder outside the lair, was waving a twig in front of the creature's eyes. Niraih, as she'd decided to call her, had grown quite a bit larger since Rayne first got her, and was starting to obtain the ability to balance herself in flight for a minute or two. The vampire had trailed off into a state of thought, seeming a bit lost. She was instantly yanked out of that trace when Jane summoned her It didn't sound like her leader was all too happy, either. Abandoning the twig, she got up and hurried back inside, Niraih at her heels. She finally came to a halt a few feet away from Jane. "Yes?"

Jane's perfect face crumpled into a frown. "I have several things for you to do. We must find out more about this sorcerer in the north. We must find out more about the Charter mage to the south. And also, we must get control of the Alice and Joren situation. They must be brought back here and held prisoner, or else eliminated all together."

Rayne remained quiet for a few moments, her expression hard, yet unreadable as she thought over her new list of tasks. Where was she supposed to find a sorcerer that was hidden farther into the Dragonlands? Certain sorcerers could easily light what they wanted on fire. She inwardly shivered at the thought. A Charter mage? She silently cursed her bad luck. And Joren and Alice. A smirk intruded upon her expression as she thought of revenge. "Fine," she agreed after a few moments, then thought something else over. She wasn't exactly the best tracker in Jane's band...and she knew that Alice and Joren would have hidden their trail. That, and it would make things a lot simpler if she had a small team of perhaps two or three other vampires to aid her. She doubted that she'd be able to drag Alice and Joren back on her own, anyway. "May I request permission to gather together a small team to complete these tasks? Preferrably two or three others? We'll be able to track down these targets faster, and would make it easier for us to bring Joren and Alice back." Rayne didn't want to kill them. That would almost be the merciful thing to do.

Jane considered this, and then nodded grimly. "Fine. Take that frisky little one, Selia. She's a very good tracker, and doesn't get tired too quickly."

Rayne nodded. "Very well. I'll leave as soon as possible." Then, with Niraih trailing behind her, she turned toward some of the various tunnels that led away from the main cave, wondering where Selia had gotten off to.

The red-headed young vampire sat on a charred stump near the entrance of the cave. Her long legs were crossed beneath her, and her hands were busy pulling her wild hair into ponytails on either side of her head. When she spotted Rayne, her bright red eyes widened, and she hopped up, flashing a wide, gleaming grin.

Rayne remained silent for a few moments as she stopped in front of Selia. She was still amazed at how cheeful the vampire seemed amidst all the chaos that had been occuring. Niraih approached Selia, identifying her as one that could be trusted, and playfully batted at her feet in greeting. The vampire watched this for a few moments before looking back at Selia. "Jane has granted me permission to bring a team with me for some...tasks that need to be completed. She recommended you as a formidable tracker for the group."

Lia smiled down at the small creature for a moment, and then looked back to Rayne. She nodded once, and giggled. "I try my best."

Rayne's expression didn't waver as Niraih walked back to her, seating herself neatly by the her foot. "So you're up for the job?" she asked, her eyes betraying nothing as her gaze flitted from the creature to the other vampire.

Lia shrugged, and smiled again. "Sure, why wouldn't I be? When do we leave?"

"As soon as we find two other people to join the team," Rayne replied, turning back to the cave.
Ooc; I think I might just make up some temporary vampires. Is that alright?

Ooc; Sure. OOH OOH! They can dye? xD;;
Bic; Selia nodded, a trace of a smile still lingering on her lips. "Alright, want me to go looking?"

Ooc; That depends. Maybe. c:
Bic; Rayne titled her head slightly to the side, considering this. Could she trust Selia to make a good decision? She finally nodded, and shrugged. "Try to pick somebody that can contribute to the group. Preferably somebody strong."

Lia nodded, still smiling, and trotted off to find some of her comrades. She spotted a group returning from a hunting trip, with two of the largest and strongest vampires under Jane's command among them. She sprinted over, face all bright and cheerful, and chirped, "Rayne needs two of you big guys to come help her on a tracker mission. Lonan, how 'bout you? And Jarent, you're pretty good at tracking, right? Come on guys, let's get a move on!" Without waiting for a reply, she whirled around and trotted off, back toward the volcano. The two vampires she had named exchanged a slightly amused glance, and followed after her.
