Ravyre stared at the egg for a while, then glanced at Alice and back at Aaron. "It might not be able to hatch?" she murmured, repeating what Aaron had indicated.

Aaron glanced at Ravyre, but made no reply. Alice was nodding slowly, frowning hard at the ground. "Ys, I understand... I think..." Her voice was a low murmur. "Still, I will care for it anyway, as long ad it continues to live. Even if it never hatches..."

Ravyre fell quiet, a bit depressed at this news. Even if the egg wasn't hers, she still felt a spark of sadness that something so grand might not make its true presence known.

Alice's troubled gaze dropped down to the egg again. "So silent..."

Ravyre glanced back up at the sky again, feeling drops of rain splash onto her face as the storm picked up again. She glanced over her shoulder again at Joren, whose expression was completely unreadable. However, she couldn't pick up anything that was said between him and Feren. Then, she gave a sympathetic glance at the egg and Alice before focusing on the sky again.

Alice continued gazing at the egg for a few moments longer, lost in her thoughts. Then she glanced up, and shot an impatient glare toward the two male vampires. "What is taking them so long?" she complained, pouting. Eden smiled gently. "Be patient." Alice looked toward her, raising an eyebrow. She couldn't help but give a short, sharp laugh. "Me? The psychic? Be patient? You've got to be kidding."

"If you think about it, Joren probably has a lot of information to share with Feren, though," Ravyre pointed out with out looking down from the sky. She blinked as a raindrop hit her eye. "He's been with Jane's band for a long time. And you know Feren's going to want all the details."

Alice shrugged, scowling up at the clouds. "Yeah, but still... It's boring."

Ravyre sighed. "Just try being patient? That's just about the best advice I could give you."

Alice just glared at the ground. "But being patient is boooring," she muttered. Eden chuckled softly, and Demi rolled her eyes.

Ravyre shrugged. "Then find something to pass the time," she suggested.

Alice groaned, and flopped backward, staring up at the mass of grey above them. Aaron closed her eyes, resuming her meditation. Eden sat back, fiddling with a piece of grass, and Demi sprawled out beside Ravyre, eyes darting around the group.

Ravyre remained where she was, still staring up at the sky. Several minutes passed by until Joren and Feren returned to the group. Joren was quiet as he sat beside Alice, and was frowning. Feren remained standing, stretching out his arms and shaking his head to free his hair of water.

Alice sat up, eyes finding Joren's. She quickly evaluated his expression, and reached for his hand, instinctively twining her fingers with his as she gave him a concerned look.

Joren glanced at her, then looked away. Different thoghts were at war inside his head, and their battles only grew stronger as he tried to push them away.
