Alice's grip on Joren's hand tightened, and her eyes narrowed slightly. She stared hard at him, wondering desperately if there was something she could do to help- because clearly, he was upset.

Ravyre cast Joren a questioning look, which he didn't answer to.
Feren finally sat down near the others, leaning against a tree and closing his eyes. He appeared to be deep in thought about the information he now knew.

Alice cast a glance at Feren, and then back to Joren. Her brow furrowed ever so slightly, her perfect porcelain face crumpled into a worried frown. "Joren..."

Joren glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
Ravyre sighed, still leaning on her arms, which were stretched out behind her. "So, do we have a plan or anything?"

Alice shifted toward him, clutching his hand and snuggling up close. She glanced toward Feren, wondering what they were to do now.

Feren frowned, still seeming to be in his own peace of mind. "We don't have a plan yet, do we? We need to decide that...we have to determine our next move."

Aaron broke from her trance, and looked up, eyes deeply clouded with unreadable thoughts. "Yes... We need to gather more followers."

Feren nodded. "Yes...but that might be difficult. First of all, we need followers willing to face a large group of vampires, not to mention traveling with us--" he paused to motion toward his group, though included Joren and Alice in the gesture. "Rest assured that most of us can control outselves, but we also have to be careful if any of us were to slip." He became quiet, his gaze still averted from the rest. "And then there's the rumor that there's a sorcerer band farther in the Dragonlands. I'm willing to believe that, but it only makes things worse for us. Where do you propose to find fighters who can face these odds?"

Aaron raised her level gaze to meet Feren's. "You do understand that Jane's actions effect everyone? Not just us, but any living creature who lives in these lands. And possibly even neighboring kingdoms as well. You'd be surprised at how many common people and creatures would be willing to fight for the freedom which they hold so dear."

"I understand that very well...but I fear that they expect others to fight on their behalf. No doubt we'll find some suitable followers, but we need an army of skilled fighters to even have a chance against them."
Joren said nothing, and avoided Ravyre's attempt to make eye contact with him.

The corner of Aaron's mouth twitched into a smile. "Once again, I believe you underestimate this land's citizens." She flung a hand up toward the mountains that towered over them. "There, only a handful of miles away, lives a whole civilization of mountain elves. Strong fighters, talented sorcerers, and all trained from birth to defend their homeland."

"Ah, the Midnight Mountain Elf Tribe. I've hard of them," Feren replied, looking thoughtful. "Talented indeed, though I've heard rumors about a couple of elves from there. I know one rumor to be a fact. Joren told me Jane's deputy is from there...not yet a vampire. And apparently, while this has yet to be confirmed, an even younger elf ran off about a year or so ago. If I'm right, both are on the side against us. It's worth a shot, however. Those are only two from the many that live there. But even if we get a decent amount of supporters from there, we'll still have to find many more from various locations...but it's a good start."

Aaron nodded slowly, frowning in thought. "I know of one elf- their princess, in fact- who hatched an egg much like the ones I care for. She might could help us... And another one of my Hatchers was a mer-man of sorts. The son of a Naiad. He must know some mer-people and sea creatures. He even has a dragon of his own."

Feren nodded. "Well have to get in contact with those people..." Ravyre glanced up. "You know, there's also road-performers. Lots of them are morphers who take on the role of a trained animal. And I also heard of a few traveling circuses...while they use their talents for performances, I'll bet they're pretty decent at fighting. There's magic users, more morphers, acrobats..."

Eden shifted, and raised her head at this. "You know... There was a circus in Traveler's Meet tonight..." She glanced around the circle. Aaron blinked, and murmured, "Should we try to meet them?"
