Nyra glanced at the elf, her expression entirely unreadable. Ravyre looked a bit awed, Joren appeared indifferent, and Cayli just smiled in greeting. Eventually their attention turned to Aaron, waiting, watching. When the elf and the Guardian had finished, they glanced up at the trees before shifting their attention to the guards.

Jamison stood near Nyra, holding her hand again. Jaclyn was on his other side, smirking slightly as she cast sideways glances at her brother and friend. Alice was next to Joren, and Azera stood close to her cousin. When the guards came forward, Azera went to talk with them, arranging places for everyone to sleep. It seemed that most would camp again- the circus folk were used to it anyway, it was practically their whole lifestyle. A handful would stay in the treehouses or caravans. Finally everything was organized, and they started setting up camp again. Shai sent for food to be brought down for everyone, and then lead Aaron, Feren, and Azera over to a campfire to discuss everything.

Nyra gave Jamison's hand a small squeeze as everyone began to break into their sleeping stations. By now, most were rolling out bedrolls and preparing more campfires. The caravans were stationed around the camping area, and a few were making the climb to the treehouses. Feren followed the others to the campfire, his expression serious as he sat down on one of the wood benches. Cayli was among those sleeping under the stars. Her make-shift bed was prepared quickly, and she crawled in as soon as she made sure she wasn't needed. Ravyre walked over to chat quietly with Maven, and Joren wrapped an arm around Alice's shoulders.

"And where are we sleeping tonight?" Jamison murmured as soon as Jaclyn had wandered off to prepare for bed. He turned to face her, eyes burning in the darkness. "Or are we sleeping?" His fingers curled tighter into hers.
Alice glanced up at Joren, smiling slightly. "Want to go exploring?"
Aaron quietly began to explain the situation to Shai, and when she was finally finished weaving the tale, the elf was quick to make her decision. "Of course we'll join you." Her eyes were alight with excitement, though her expression still grave. Aaron dipped her head graciously. "That takes a load off my shoulders. We have a better chance now, more than ever."

Nyra's eyes glinted in the dim light the fires conjured. Her mind had been spinning with the recent events of the past couple days, but her attention was suddenly jolted back to the present time at the sound of Jamison's voice."What's...that supposed to mean...?"
Joren glanced around. "Well, I think that's the best thing to do now," he agreed. "We aren't really needed here."
Feren smiled, though it was grim. "Excellent."

He chuckled darkly. "What do you think?"
Alice grinned. "Alright, let's go!" She slipped from under his arm, grabbed his hand, and dragged him off.
Shai nodded. "Yes. Alright. We can work out details later. You must be exhausted from traveling. I'll let you be now." And with that, she bade them goodnight, and flitted off into the darkness.

Nyra shifted, glancing at the ground before her eyes found his face again. She searched his eyes again, waiting...unsure of what she was supposed to say...how she was to make words out of her thoughts.
Feren watched her go after returning a brief 'Good Night', then turned back to the others. "Ravyre, Leon, Maven, and I will take the first watch. We'll switch around with Demi, Eden, Nell and..." He glanced to see Alice and Joren wandering off. "...Alice and Joren...when they get back."
Joren followed her, laughing a bit as he fell into step beside her. "Where shall we go?"

Alice slowed and frowned slightly as she thought of this. "Well, you don't like climbing trees, right? How about we just run around the forest a bit?"
The other vampires nodded in agreement. Eden chuckled softly as they all watched the couple disappear into the night.
Jamison leaned forward, hovering over her. "Well?" he asked in a soft voice.

Nyra was quiet for a few moments, once again consumed by her thoughts as she studied Jamison's face. Finally, she gave a small, slight nod. Though she was silent, she offered him a small smile as her grip tightened on his hand.
Joren shrugged. "That works fine for me. But..." He glanced at her, offering a small smile. "If you really want to climb the trees, I'll go with you. I might not like it, but I'll still do it."

Jamison was quiet for a moment, watching her, measuring her reaction. His eyes were unreadable, a small, wondering smile faint on his lips. He took a step forward, slipping an arm around her waist, and in one fluid movement, swinging her up into his arms. He planted a soft, sweet kiss on her lips, and swept her away.
Alice's expression brightened. "If you're sure you don't mind... then come on!" She tugged a little harder, heading off for the ring of trees.
Ooc; New day? c|

It was quiet the next morning in the main clearing. Four figures remained stationed around the clearing, keeping watch as the others slept. Ravyre sighed, leaning against a tree and fingering a blade of glass as she waited (impatiently) for some sort of activity in the camp. Joren and Alice hadn't returned last night, either. When Leon came back from a quick walk, he said he'd come across the two--climbing trees. She scowled, irritated. I guess they were so busy they just didn't have time to come back and take their shift. she thougt, sarcastically. Most were still asleep, Cayli included. She was currently fast asleep in her bedroll, stationed with a few other acrobats near the edge of the clearing.
Meanwhile, back in one of the guest tree-houses, Nyra woke to the sound of chirping birds. She blinked, trying to recall where she was, and when memories from the night before flooded back to her mind, she sat up to find Jamison next to her. The sorceress carefully shifted off the bed, taking care not to wake him as she dressed and opened the door to the guesthouse. Quietly, she closed it behind her and made her way down the ladder, which led back to the ground. Nyra returned about a half an hour later, having left to find somewhere to take a quick bath. Now--her hair damp--she climbed back up to the guest house, entered, and crept to the side of the bed, where she leaned over Jamison. "Hey, sleepy-head. Wake up," she whispered, nudging him gently on the shoulder.

Jamison squinted up at Nyra, and smiled slightly. He grabbed one of her shoulders, dragging her back onto the bed beside him, and curling her into a tight embrace. "Good morning," he murmured, kissing her forehead.
Alice sat on a thick branch, watching the sun rise. She glanced to one side, flashing Joren a small smile, and leaned into him with a small sigh.

Nyra laughed quietly and snuggled up closer to him. "Sleep well?"
Joren smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, drawing her closer as he rested his chin on top of her head. His gaze was fixed on the horizon, completely forgetting the fact that they were supposed to be back hours ago.

"Mmm... Sure," he replied. "But I enjoyed being awake more." He kissed her nose.
Alice's gaze trailed after his. She looked a little sleepy, dazed, but content.

Nyra smiled and slid her face up so that their lips met. After a few moments with the gentle kiss, she drew her head back and looked at him. "Mmhmm," the sorceress murmured, tracing shapes on the skin at the back of his neck.
Joren gave her shoulders a small squeeze as he continued to watch, the rising warmth of the sun touching his skin.
