He smiled slightly, his hand shifting down her back, drawing her a little closer. "You feeling okay?" he asked quietly as his fingers passed over a tender spot.
Alice sighed again, and her eyes shifted up to him. "We should probably get back..."

"I'll live," Nyra assured him, returning his smile with one of her own. She glanced over at the window by the door, where rays of sunlight were starting to creep through around the edges of the blinds.
Joren nodded, leaning down to kiss her forehead before making the climb down the tree. He felt a small sense of relief when his feet hit solid ground, and looked up to watch for Alice.

Alice swung herself onto her feet, and measured the distance down. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she grinned, and with a cry of "Look out below!" she flung herself out into midair.
Jamison gently rubbed her back, and was quiet for a moment, following her gaze. "I guess it's time to get up now, isn't it?"

Joren caught her, and laughed as he gently placed her on the ground. "You never give up."
Nyra nodded slightly. "I guess so." Giving him a last smile, she wiggled out of his hold and sat up, stretching her arms as she crawled back off the bed. She then approached a mirror, which was mounted on a wall beside a tall dressor, and ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make it look at least halfway decent.

Alice heaved a dramatic sigh. "If only I had been born a bird, maybe you would let me land properly."
Jamison followed after her, rolling off the bed and rummaging around to find some clothes. When he was finally dressed, he went to the mirror as well, claiming a small corner of it to smooth his rumpled hair and rub the sleep from his eyes.

Joren smirked as he started to walk back in the direction of the camp. "Me? Never," he said, grabbing her hand.
Nyra smoothed out her outfit--a short black, wavy skirt, a white shirt (with the sleeves cut at the elbows), and black, lace-up boots. Around her waist was the scarf she'd purchased at the triplet's store. When she finished, she looked over at Jamison. "Ready?"

"Mmhmm," he replied, tugging at the edge of his shirt. He wore a simple outfit- sleeveless forest green top and black cargo shorts that came down to his knees. He swept his gaze over her, and added, "My, don't you look lovely?"
Alice rolled her eyes, and let herself be pulled along after him. Suddenly she stopped, and groaned. "Oh man, we are so in for it when we get back."

"Oh, yeah. Riiight," Nyra said sarcastically. "What with my wet hair and all." The sorceress took a step toward him, smoothing out a section of green fabric at his shoulder, and when she stepped back, she grinned. "You certainly look handsome, though."
Joren nodded, and frowned as they became visible at the edge of camp. Ravyre was in front of them in an instant, scowling. "Yes, you are," she muttered. "We stood guard all night while you two were off climbing trees."

He chuckled. "Wet hair is better than bed-hair. At least it's clean." he reached up, ruffling said wet hair as he spoke.
Alice gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry- my fault. We.... lost track of time. But, of course, if there had been a problem, you know we would have been back here in an instant."

Nyra laughed quietly and fixed her hair again before turning toward the door. "Well, let's go, then," she said as she opened it. She walked out onto the small platform outside the door, and then began the climb down the ladder. When her feet met the ground, she stepped back to wait for Jamison.
Ravyre frowned. "Well, maybe some of us would have enjoyed a break, too." Then, she smirked, a new thought coming to her. "It looks like you guys have the first watch tonight, then, to make up for it."

Alice rolled her eyes. "Fine. But you know, I think we're supposed to be learning to be nocturnal, or something. So it might be more like we'll be keeping watch during the day."
Jamison checked one last time in the mirror, and then followed after her, hopping the last few steps of the ladder to the ground, and grabbing her hand as they headed for the main camp.

Nyra walked beside him as they headed down the trail that would lead them to the camp.
Cayli, by now, was slowly starting to wake up. With a wide yawn, she rose into a sitting position and rubbed her eyes. A few of the others around her were doing the same. When her eyes focused in the dim light, her sight fell on Nyra and Jamison, who were now at the edge of the camp. Look who's back... she thought with a slight smirk.
Ravyre shrugged. "Either way. You two have the first watch...whenever that is." Joren sighed, and squeezed Alice's hand. "Fair enough."

Jaclyn sat nearby Cayli, and followed her gaze to her brother and friend. The happy couple. She rolled her eyes, standing up, and going to meet them. She stopped right in front of the pair as they entered the cam, and planted her hands on her hips.
Alice nodded her agreement. "Alright, well, can we go hunt now, if we're not supposed to be on duty yet? Like, all of us?" She glanced around, picking out the other vampires dotted around the camp.
Azera rolled over under her blankets, squeezing her eyes tight against the dawn. She did not want to wake up yet, but Sage made it difficult, trotting up as a wolfish hound, and poking his snuffly nose around her face in an attempt to get her up.

Nyra grimaced and looked at the ground, her grip on Jamison's hand tightening a bit. What was she supposed to say?
Ravyre nodded. "I don't see why not." She turned, and whistled--it was high pitched, so only the vampires would hear it--and waited for the others to follow the sound. Maven and Leon were there in an instant. "Is Feren coming?" she asked, trying to look around for the lead vampire. "No. He went on his own earlier," Maven replied. "And what about Demi, Nell, and Eden?"
Cayli's attention turned to Azera as Jaclyn went to face Nyra and Jamison. She smiled as she watched Sage in his efforts to wake up her cousin, and figured she could leave him to the task. She got to her feet and instantly started her stretching patterns. Many of the other performers were already doing the same.

Jaclyn frowned at them. "Hey," mumbled Jamison, trying not to feel embarrassed. Jaclyn rolled her eyes. "I won't even asked. I'm sure I don't even want to know." Then she took a half-step forward, and whacked him hard with her fist on his upper-arm. "And I'm guessing you forgot what today is, huh?" "Umm..." The sheepish looks became more pronounced, and a little confusion was added to his expression. "Probably?" She laughed. "Our birthday, silly."
"We'll come," Eden called, coming up with Nell. Demi bounded up next to Ravyre. "Me too!" Alice nodded again, smiling at her friends. "Alright, then let's go." She turned around, dancing back along the invisible path from which she and Jamison had come.
Azera moaned slightly as a slobbery kiss was planted on her cheek and neck. "Okay, okay, I'm up," she grumbled, sitting up and pushing the dog away in the process. Sage gave a cheerful bark, and sat down, waiting and watching her to make sure she was telling the truth.
